ABOUT Cascara

The dried fruit of the coffee plant was first dubbed “cascara” by Aida Batlle around 2005, bringing it into the realm of Speciality Coffee. Cascara is best used as a tea-like drink; it is packed with polyphenols, antioxidants and potassium, making it not only a fruity delicious beverage but also a coffee alternative low in caffeine and full of health benefits.

CASCARA KOMBUCHA

As a coffee producer I have always been cutting edge and innovative in coffee processing and fermentation, creating some of the most sought out coffees in the world.


Back in 2005, I discovered that when we dried the fruit part of the coffee cherry and then steeped as a tea, it created an amazing beverage. So I decided to call it Cascara. Which in Spanish means “the outer peel/skin of a fruit.”


When I learned about Kombucha and all of its health benefits, I took the initiative to make one that I would actually drink and enjoy. The ones I had tasted before were too vinegary and masked with artificial flavors and sweeteners. Like in coffee, I decided to experiment and try to find a fermentation processes that would let it shine.


So here it is, this Cascara Kombucha is brewed in Miami, Florida by me using only Cascara tea, sugar, filtered water and fresh fruit. It has the perfect taste plus all of the health benefits.


It’s Raw but controlled because we want to give you all the benefits your gut needs and will thank you for. Full of anti oxidants, probiotics and low in caffeine.
